Attestation
Customer trust, audited properly.
SOC 2 is how your customers verify that you protect their data. SES makes the path from first security questionnaire to a clean report feel like a product sprint — not a second job.
Why it matters
The report is the artifact. The operating system is the value.
Most teams do not struggle with the idea of SOC 2. They struggle with the surface area: which systems are in scope, which controls actually matter, and how to prove they worked six months from now.
We start with architecture, not a template. Your control set is designed around how you build, deploy, and support customers — then mapped to the Trust Services Criteria your buyers care about. Evidence is collected from the systems you already run, so the audit becomes a checkpoint rather than a fire drill.

Your controls currently live in spreadsheets and screenshots
SOC 2 questions
The details, before the first call.
If your question is not here, ask it directly. We will give you a straight answer.
Ask a different questionDo we need Type I or Type II?
Type I proves controls are designed correctly at a point in time. Type II proves they operated effectively over a period, usually 3–12 months. Buyers increasingly expect Type II; Type I can be a useful first step when you need to show progress quickly.
Who issues the SOC 2 report?
SOC reports are issued by an independent CPA firm. SES leads scoping, control design, evidence readiness, and audit coordination, and works alongside your attestation partner throughout the engagement.
How long does it take?
Most teams are audit-ready in 6–12 weeks. A Type I can be issued shortly after readiness. A Type II adds the observation window, which is defined with your auditor.
Can we reuse our existing tools?
Yes. We prefer it. Cloud platforms, identity providers, ticketing, CI/CD, and HRIS tools are usually the best evidence sources. We map controls to what you already have before recommending anything new.
Do you support SOC 1 and SOC 3 as well?
Yes. SOC 1 is typically relevant when your service affects customers’ financial reporting. SOC 3 is a public-facing seal based on a SOC 2 examination. We help you decide which report your buyers actually need.
