Engagement models

Scoped to where you are.

Not every company needs a full audit program on day one. We size the work to the milestone in front of you.

01

Readiness sprint

For teams that need a plan before committing to an audit. Scope, gap analysis, and a prioritized roadmap you can run with.

2–4 weeks
02

Attestation engagement

For teams ready to build and evidence controls. Fixed-fee scope through the report, certification, or assessment.

6–16 weeks
03

Continuous trust

For teams maintaining multiple frameworks. Internal audits, evidence refresh, and ongoing security and legal counsel.

Ongoing

The standard

What's always included.

Every engagement carries the same operating commitments, whether we are scoping a first audit or running a mature program.

01

Named senior lead

The person in the room is the person doing the work. No handoffs to junior staff.

02

Fixed-fee scope

Scope, timeline, and fees are agreed before we start. No end-of-engagement surprises.

03

Shared workspace

Controls, evidence, owners, and requests live in one place your team can actually use.

04

Weekly cadence

Short working sessions with clear decisions and owners — not status theater.

Service questions

Questions, answered.

The details that usually come up before the first call.

Ask a different question
How do we know which framework we need?

It depends on your buyers, market, and product. SOC 2 is usually the first request for US enterprise SaaS. ISO 27001 matters for international and EU customers. HIPAA, PCI DSS, and FedRAMP are driven by the data and market you serve. We map the actual buyer requirements before recommending a program.

Can you work with our existing auditor, QSA, or certification body?

Yes. We regularly work alongside independent CPA firms, QSAs, and accredited certification bodies. We prepare the scope, controls, and evidence, and coordinate with your assessor so the process stays predictable.

Do you write policies from scratch?

We start with your architecture and existing practices, then write policies that describe how you actually operate. Templates are a starting point, not the deliverable. A policy your team cannot follow is a liability, not a control.

How do you keep evidence current after the audit?

Evidence is mapped to source systems — cloud, identity, code, ticketing, and HR — and collected on a recurring cadence. We set owners, review exceptions, and keep the control library current as your environment changes.

What does a typical engagement cost?

Fees depend on scope, frameworks, and the state of your current program. After a short intro, we provide a fixed-fee proposal with clear inclusions. You will know what is in scope, what is not, and what triggers a change before you commit.

Can you handle compliance and legal together?

That is the point of SES. Security commitments show up in DPAs, BAAs, and security addenda. Having counsel and auditors review them together means the promises are achievable and the liability is proportionate.
