About SES

Compliance people who think like builders.

The last mile of enterprise trust is usually people, not software. Auditors who do not understand your stack create friction. Lawyers who arrive after launch create rework. We put both at the table early.

We started SES because compliance had become a parallel universe.

The tools got better. The work did not always. Teams still spent weeks translating architecture into controls, chasing screenshots, and discovering halfway through a deal that the security addendum promised something the product did not do.

SES brings senior auditors, security engineers, privacy specialists, and commercial counsel into one team. We scope around the deal, design controls around the system, and keep the legal terms aligned with what the product can actually deliver.

We are not trying to sell you the biggest program. We are trying to help you earn trust at the stage you are in — and build something that gets easier as you grow.

What we believe

Principles, not slogans.

These are the operating rules behind every scope, control, and contract conversation.

01

Senior only

No handoffs to junior staff. The people in the room are the people doing the work.

02

Evidence over ceremony

A control that produces useful evidence beats a policy nobody reads.

03

Plain language

If a control, contract, or risk cannot be explained clearly, it is not finished.

04

Fixed scope

You should know what an engagement includes and what it costs before it starts.

05

Design for the next framework

Build the control library once, then extend it as buyers ask for more.

06

Tell you what you do not need

A smaller program that fits your stage is better than a bigger one you cannot operate.

The bench

One team. Four disciplines.

The work sits at the intersection of audit, engineering, privacy, and commercial law. We staff it that way.

Audit & attestation

Former Big 4 auditors who have led SOC 2, ISO 27001, and FedRAMP programs from scope to report.

Security engineering

Controls designed around cloud, CI/CD, identity, and the way your engineers actually ship.

Privacy & AI

GDPR, HIPAA, and AI governance counsel for products that handle sensitive data.

Commercial legal

Contract, DPA, BAA, and security addendum review from counsel who knows the product.

We work in your tools, join your cadence, and keep decisions moving.

How we work

Async by default

Clear written recommendations, short working sessions, and no standing meetings for the sake of it.

How we work

New York, remote-first
