Healthcare

PHI protection, without the guesswork.

HIPAA does not come with a certificate. It comes with expectations: documented safeguards, a real risk analysis, trained people, and evidence that the program works. We build that program around your product.

Why it matters

No certificate. Still accountable.

Healthcare buyers and partners ask for more than a policy PDF. They want to see how you protect PHI across systems, people, vendors, and incidents — and they want confidence that the answer will still be true next year.

We translate the Security and Privacy Rules into an operating program your engineering, support, and product teams can follow, including the BAAs and vendor terms that usually get missed.

What's included

Built around your environment.

What you walk away with

  • A documented risk analysis
  • Safeguards aligned to the Security Rule
  • BAAs and vendor terms in order
  • A tested incident response process
  • A repeatable annual review cadence
01

Risk analysis & management

A defensible, documented process for identifying risks and tracking treatment — not a one-time checklist.

02

Security & privacy policies

Administrative, physical, and technical safeguards sized to your model and workforce.

03

BAA & vendor review

Business associate agreements, subprocessor terms, and vendor risk workflows.

04

Breach response playbooks, workforce training, and documentation that supports OCR inquiries.

05

Recurring assessment

Annual review, evidence refresh, and updates when your product or regulations change.

Who it's for

Built for teams like yours.

The best program is the one your team can operate. We scope the work to your stage, architecture, and the deal in front of you.

01

You handle PHI on behalf of providers or payers

02

A healthcare customer requires a BAA

03

You are launching a digital health product

04

Your security program has grown faster than your documentation

HIPAA questions

The details, before the first call.

If your question is not here, ask it directly. We will give you a straight answer.

Ask a different question
Is there a HIPAA certification?

No. HHS does not certify HIPAA compliance. Vendors may offer assessments or seals, but they are not official certifications. What matters is a documented, operating program that reflects the Security and Privacy Rules.

Are we a covered entity or business associate?

It depends on what you do and who you serve. Covered entities provide healthcare and handle transactions electronically; business associates perform certain functions for them. We map your role before scoping the program.

Do we need a risk analysis every year?

HIPAA requires an ongoing risk management process, not a once-and-done document. Most organizations review risk analysis annually or whenever the environment changes materially.

Can you review our BAAs?

Yes. We review BAAs and vendor terms alongside the security program so the contractual promises match your actual safeguards.

How does HIPAA interact with SOC 2?

They overlap on security controls, but HIPAA adds privacy, breach notification, and healthcare-specific requirements. Existing SOC 2 controls can be reused where they apply.
